TR Electronic AK40

The AK40 is an axis cassette “application module” made by TR Electronic, designed to interface with encoders (often SSI) and simplify wiring in automation systems by consolidating signal/feedback processing into one rail-mounted module. It’s typically used for machine axes in industrial setups, including printing machines.  The module supports SSI encoder connections and is identified by part numbers such as “456-000020004” or “456-32001” in some listings.  Typical uses: wiring of feedback encoders to PLC or control cabinet in machines, offering easier interfacing and improved interference immunity vs long cable runs
