On Man Roland presses, the EEPROM is a non-volatile memory module used by the press’s control electronics. It stores configuration data, calibration settings (e.g. ink-slide offsets, delivery counts, registration parameters), and machine-state data. If EEPROM data becomes corrupted or incorrect (for example due to a bad write or power failure), the machine may show errors and require the EEPROM to be erased and re-initialized — restoring correct configurations for ink slides, registration, and other critical settings
