The Radio Energie REO 444 tachometer (tachogenerator) is an industrial speed-feedback device that converts rotational motion into a proportional DC voltage signal. It produces a voltage (for example ~60 V at 1000 RPM) in relation to shaft speed without needing an external power source, and is used to monitor and regulate motor/shaft speed in printing and other machinery.
